With heavy hearts, we announce Denis’s passing on May 11, 2026, at the age of 96.
He leaves his wife of 72 years, Lucy; daughters, Elaine, Charlene (Norm), and Deneen (Dave); his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister, Yvonne.
Denis was a man of quiet faith who loved his family and his garden.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Emile Church, 556 St. Anne’s Road, on Saturday, May 23 at 11:30 a.m. A private interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross.

We were shocked to learn of the passing of Denis. There are some people who seem will live forever. Denis was always a jokester, well especially with me. Loved to tease me about everything! Especially my hair 🤨 Was always such a great time when we got together at auntie Jeanne’s place. Our condolences to Lucy, family and all who loved him. We lived on the same street as Denis and Lucy, and for years I would walk our dog past their house every day. Denis was almost always outside, either in the front yard or tending to his amazing garden. He would always stop to pet our dog and ask how our walk was going. Denis was such a kind, friendly, and genuinely caring person. I’m sure he will be deeply missed by his wife Lucy, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Rest in peace, Denis.
